Dr. Benzheng Wei is the director of Center for Medical Artificial Intelligence, Shandong University of traditional Chinese medicine and deputy director of school network information center and doctoral supervisor. In 2013, he obtained his Doctor's degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; in 2011, he was selected as the project of Jinan science and Technology Star program; he was a visiting scholar in the image computing and Science Laboratory of the University of Pennsylvania in 2014.

His research interests include imaging research, medical artificial intelligence, computational medicine, machine learning and medical information engineering. In the past three years, he has presided over more than 10 scientific research courses, such as general programs of National Natural Science Foundation and projects of Shandong natural science foundation, and won a second prize of scientific and technological progress of Shandong Province, an academic innovation prize of natural science of Shandong Province, a second prize of Science and technology prize of traditional Chinese medicine of Shandong Province, and three third prizes of scientific and technological achievements of colleges and universities of Shandong Province.

He has published more than 60 academic papers in academic journals such as medical image analysis and MICCAI, among which more than 30 are included by SCI and EI. And he is the reviewer of more than 10 SCI academic journals such as IEEE tbme, spine, neurocomputing, etc.

He is also a member of the 9th Committee of Shandong Association of science and technology, Secretary General of Shandong Association of artificial intelligence, member of the special committee of artificial intelligence and pattern recognition of China computer society, member of the Executive Committee of the medical image computing Youth Seminar (MICs), executive director of the diagnostic information Society of traditional Chinese medicine, director of the branch of mathematics and traditional Chinese medicine of the International Association of Mathematical Medicine, and director of China Medical Informatics Member of the professional committee of medical informatics education and other academic organizations.
